By now everyone is aware of the tragedy in New Orleans. As part of a FEMA disaster recovery team I will be deploying to the New Orleans area September 3rd. I will be in the New Orleans area for at least the next twelve months.

Hopefully with the help of others we can reschedule this meeting for later this year. In the mean time plan to attend the upcoming NACHI convention.

On behalf of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors I would like to invite both NACHI and soon to be NACHI members to the organizational meeting of the South Carolina NACHI Chapter. Regardless of your current association affiliation – everyone is welcome. We have selected a time, date and location that will hopefully work with everyone’s busy schedule.

In addition to the normal welcoming and organizational sessions we will have 3 speakers covering marketing (utilizing Carson Dunlap’s new book “Building Your Home Inspection Business”), HVAC (by Midlands Tech) and composite roofs. Hopefully for NACHI members I can get these speakers covered for continuing education points.

NACHI has provided a number of door prizes for this event and there will be a Hospitality Hour following the meeting.

The Comfort Suites Hotel is located directly behind the Best Buy on Harbison Drive off I-26. Those of you needing a place to stay either Friday, September 9^th or Saturday September 10^th, Comfort Suites Hotel is offering a corporate rate of $72.
